Friday open mat.
6 to 7:30 pm. Arguably the most fun time on the mats. No class, no curriculum. Find a partner and roll with a room that includes two black belts and a lot of people who compete.
Any class.
Weekdays 5:30 am, noon and evenings, plus Saturday morning. Fundamentals if you want a technical class, All-Levels if you want rounds. Sunday 10 am is competition class for people with a match coming.

Do I need to message ahead?
Please. A quick text to (515) 505-4259 with the class you're coming to means we know to expect you and can have the waiver ready.
Gi or nogi?
Most classes are nogi. Tuesday evening is gi. Open mat is either.
How do I pay the drop-in?
At the desk when you arrive. $20 covers any class that day.
Where do I park?
The academy is at 4711 University Ave, across from Waveland Park. Text us when you're on the way and we'll point you to the closest spot.
Can I come more than once?
Yes. $20 a day, or if you're in town for a while, a month-to-month membership with no contract.
