Escapes and defensive structure
Defensive structure and movement while escaping bad positions. The month that turns panic into a plan: how to survive on the bottom, protect your neck and arms, and get back to a place you can work from.

The curriculum rotates through the four situations every grappler has to solve. You can join at any point in the cycle and you'll see all four inside four months.

Maintaining dominant control and finishing from the top. Pressure, pins and the submissions that come from them.
The position that makes Jiu-Jitsu different. How to use your legs and grips from the bottom to reverse the position or finish the fight.
Getting past the legs with balance and economy of movement. Posture, pressure and patience over strength.
Every class starts on the feet. Setups, entries and finishes, taught to be safe for the person being thrown.
The month's position, taught as a concept with specific examples. You drill it with a partner at your own pace.
Rounds with rules that fit where you are. Watch from the wall on night one if you want. You'll want in by night three.
No. Fundamentals is built for complete beginners and you go at your own pace. Fitness comes from training, not before it.
Most Fundamentals classes are nogi: shorts or spats and a rash guard or fitted t-shirt. Tuesday 6 pm is a gi class. Ask us about a loaner gi for your first gi class.
Only if you want to. Live training closes every class and you're welcome to watch from the wall.
Whenever you want more. Unlimited members ($135 a month) train both. Many people start adding All-Levels after their first full cycle.
Tell us about you. We'll text you the Fundamentals class to come to and what to wear, same day.
